All of our products are hand-crafted and made with certified-organic & natural ingredients. Because our products are all natural, the coloration and texture may vary due to slight variations in tone or intensity of the ingredients' color due to ambient temperatures and humidity during production of each batch.

The age of the shea nut during harvesting may also lead to variations in color of the whipped shea butter ranging from off-white to ivory white. Similar factors also affect the natural herbs and spices used to create each batch.  

The melting point for shea butter ranges from 89-100 degrees Fahrenheit, while coconut oil starts to melt at about 80 degrees.

We recommend storing your whipped shea butter at room temperature.

Note: Liquid, solid, or whipped, shea butter and coconut oil will not loose their skin healing and moisturizing properties.

First, we wish to reassure you that this is a natural reaction to warmth. Shea butter begins to melt at about 89 degrees Fahrenheit while coconut oil starts at about 80 degrees.

We recommend storing your whipped shea butter at room temperature.

Take these steps to continue enjoying the benefits of your butter.

1. Keep inside a cool location.

2. Once inside a cool location, the product will solidify but it will not have the same whipped consistency.

3. Take a popsicle stick (or something similar) and whip by hand until you have reached a consistency that you feel confident about using.

We always aim for make sure our customers love our products, but if you do need to return an order because you are not satisfied with your purchase, we’re happy to help. Just email us directly and we’ll take you through the process of issuing store credit.

We will only consider refunds within 30 days from purchase. We do not accept returns as our products are all consumable goods.

Please allow 1-2 days for your order to be processed for shipping; 1-3 days if your order is placed Friday-Sunday or during a public holiday. We make every effort to fulfill orders as quickly as possible. Understand we are a small growing business - a team of humans. We typically process all orders within 3 days.

We ship both domestically and to a select number of international destinations. Shipping times depend on your location. If you live in the Triad (Greensboro/Winston Salem) or Triangle (Raleigh/Durham), you'll receive your order 2-4 days after we have processed it.

The USPS site quotes, but does not guarantee, 2-8 business days for domestic delivery for all other locations. Orders valued over $20 are shipped using USPS Priority mail and typically arrive a little sooner 1-4 days after processing.

International shipping is longer and can be estimated based on final destination.

Custom Shea Butter Soap loaf orders are crafted within 5 days of receipt of the custom order an are shipped after 15-20 days of curing (soaps need to cure at leas 3 weeks before use). In all, from placing an order to using the custom order, allow for 4 weeks.

We strive to provide exceptional customer service and will work with you alongside the mail carrier to determine if the package was delivered.

If the error was due to an error in Nailah's Shea service (using wrong address or name), we will replace the items at no charge.

However, if the error is due to incomplete or errant address information by the customer, we advise that you work with the carrier to see if the package can be rerouted. If the package is unrecoverable, Nailah's Shea will be happy to ship replacements at cost and when possible with coupons or discounts.

We use USPS for all domestic orders.

International orders can be fulfilled using USPS, UPS and DHL. You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.

We use flat rates for all domestic shipping. All orders $50 or more are FREE!

All orders $19 and under ship for $5 using USPS first class mail.

Orders between $19.01 - 49.99 ship for $8 using USPS Priority Mail.

Note: To ensure that your upcoming order reflects your changes, please make changes at least 7 days before your next delivery date. Changes to your selection may add 2-3 days to the delivery date. Changes made within a week of your next delivery date will be reflected in the next subscription delivery.
